Star Wars Battlefront 2 – Mission 7: General Distress

As I have recently gotten back into gaming after getting a new XBox One S I’ve gone and gotten back into Battlefront 2 in a big bad way.

There will be spoilers for the game so be warned if you haven’t played it yet.

The result of this is I will now do some writing about each of the levels as I make my way through the game. This time I will go through Mission 7 – General Distress.

The Premise – Set in between ‘Aftermath’ and ‘Life Debt’, parts one and two of Chuck Wendig’s ‘Aftermath Trilogy’, Leia asks Iden and Del to help find Han Solo.

We find Han Solo, complete with beard, in Max’s Castle on Takodana looking for an ex-Imperial who has got intel to help Han and Chewie get on to Kashyyyk. After talking to Maz and then walking around the castle listening to conversations to get a description of your informant you finally find him.

He then takes you on a scavenger hunt through the forest to find the separate data-chips he has put the intel on.

Then the Empire turn up and you fight them and make your way back to the Falcon.

Once in the air (piloting the Falcon) with the help of Iden and Del you take out the attacking TIE Fighters.

The Gameplay – Nothing new to report really. Controlling the Falcon is great, but it doesn’t feel like ‘the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy’ to me.

Easter Eggs- As I stated earlier, this level is tied in to the events of Chuck Wendig’s ‘Aftermath Trilogy’. We get more Maz Kanata, which gives us some insight into hers, Han’s and Chewie’s relationship.
